[...] Vertical spirituality used to be my orientation since I was 14 years old when I first read about yoga and silence (1967) right until the very day I was finally enlightened 33 years later; yep, you’re not supposed to say that, but bear with me. Actually I call this happening Grand Disillusionment because it was basically nilling everything I thought meant anything before this happened. But, silly me, this level-change was just the end of a strand that had been in development since my very young years fuelled by the kind of thought-food one gets as a hippie becoming meditator becoming deep seeker becoming spiritual teacher becoming guru and then, finally, dropping out of that whole game altogether.
Hi Nerissa,

the groups I'm portraying here - and the emerging We - are in NO WAY obligatory. As a matter of fact, there is no We through any kind of force put on people.

So internally (in your daughters mind) there 'shouldn't' be a bully (like the ego after she is, say, 25 years old) like the ego, and outside in social situations being forced into a collective is necessary at times for our development but doing that 'all the time', as you say, is really just plain silly (or maybe the caretakers didn't have much insight into developmental strategies...)

What about the people who don't happen to want to be a part of your group? For example, my introverted and artististic daughter when younger was constantly being forced to participate in organized collective types of activities at daycare.

I told the people at her day care that there was no requirement that everyone had to do the same thing and to just let her be herself.

True understanding of other people includes the acceptance that everyone doesn't always want to play with you!
